At Vitaloase, the cuisine bears the signature of our Thomas. He prepares every dish himself – with passion, on a traditional wood-fired oven using wood from our own farm. We only serve what is in season, fresh and truly delicious.

Our guests love the legendary pumpkin seed dressing, rave about the garlic soup and enjoy the tender goat meat from our own farm. Our chanterelle goulash? That remains our well-kept secret, of course.

A good morning tastes...

... local and regional. The breakfast buffet offers many classics – from sausage and cheese to homemade spreads and sweet dishes. Fresh bread and pastries come from the Ellmauer bakery in Unken, eggs are sourced from the region, and specialities such as fish or venison ensure there is always something new to try. We serve your coffee (from the Schärf family in Saalfelden) personally at your table.

In summer, you can enjoy your breakfast on our sun terrace and start the day in a relaxed manner.

Healthy afternoon snack


From 2 to 4 pm, our Vital Snack awaits you at the Vital Oasis – the perfect refreshment for between meals.

Look forward to a variety of dishes, sometimes savoury, sometimes sweet: from soups and pasta dishes to homemade Kaiserschmarrn or a slice of Bettina's Sacher Torte.

In the evening, you can look forward to four courses full of flavour – freshly cooked, regionally inspired and always seasonal. Thomas, our head chef, attaches great importance to quality and consistently avoids ready-made products. Everything that comes onto your plate is prepared with passion. Let yourself be inspired by classics such as roast beef, boiled veal or our tender roast goat. A must for all guests: the salad with homemade pumpkin seed oil dressing and Thomas' personal recommendation – salmon strips on pasta with a delicate truffle sauce.

Whether after an active day in the mountains, a long hike or a day of skiing – at Vitaloase you can also eat à la carte during the day or in the evening if you have only booked breakfast. Our à la carte menu gives you the freedom to decide each day and try something new. Freshly prepared dishes made from regional ingredients ensure that every plate is a moment of pleasure.
